Flyfishing and Guide Schools of Oregon
Your gateway to the Columbia River Gorge,
Mt. Hood Territory and the Portland Metro Area

Guided Treks

Drift Boats • Walking • Wading

With a year-round fly fishing and guide school operating in the Pacific Northwest Ron Lauzon is free to design fishing excursions to lakes and rivers in Oregon throughout the year. Giving you, the opportunity to return again and again to experience different rivers and lakes in different seasons; or, maybe your favorite spot in all seasons. Whatever your preference, discover the different moods of this magnificent area.

Ron plans and initiates private, group and corporate tours that include treks throughout the Portland area, Mt Hood territory and the Columbia River Gorge. Lauzon instructs people on how to run drift boats in Oregon waters, including the world famous Deschutes, Clackamas, Sandy, John Day and McKenzie rivers and various lakes.

Ron Lauzon began the fly fishing journey in 1970, for both trout and steelhead, after catching fish on conventional spin and casting gear ceased to be a challenge.

Through his enjoyment of teaching outdoor sports in his spare time (skiing, horsemanship, whitewater rafting, and fishing), he listened to his students- (while still pursuing his passion for fly fishing) and decided to focus on obtaining certification as a fly fishing instructor through the Federation of Fly Fishers. Studying books, magazines, videos- traveling to attend every clinic, workshop and instructor schools, (he could)- has distinguished Ron from the rest.

He has personally studied with eight of the best fly fishing instructors currently in the sport;–including Joan Wulff, Lefty Kregh, Mel Kruger, Gary & Jason Borger, Mike & Denise Maxwell, and Maggie Merriman, to provide you with the finest and most diversified techniques of progressively learning the art and science of fly fishing.

A guide and outfitter, insured and registered through the Oregon State Marine Board - with both First Aid and CPR certification from the American Red Cross.

This journey would not be possible without the encouragement from his family.
